Smith Reveals New Members Of Panic! At The Disco

Spencer always sounds so adorable during interviews. <3

Replacing Ross on guitar is Ian Crawford, who spent time with Panic!'s Decaydance labelmates the Cab. And on bass, it'll be singer/songwriter Dallon Weekes, mastermind behind Utah-based indie act the Brobecks.

Though I have to admit that I really dislike the journalist who wrote the article. I especially didn't like the first sentence:

"For two weeks, Spencer Smith sat idly by while his former bandmate, guitarist Ryan Ross, spoke at length about leaving Panic! at the Disco and venturing out on a career of his own."

I am really excited about this line-up.

I also am glad to see Spencer continuing to show class in dealing with the media in regards to the split. =D

James Montgomery is also the guy who interviewed Ryan about The Young Veins(and everything else under the sun it seems). In the last interview he originally said that Panic! released *New Perspective* when they found out that TYV were releasing *Change* on the 28th (He later had to correct that, showing he just didn't do the research....).

Yes I know omfg it made me so mad when I read those interviews, because it seemed like he was all pro-ryanjon and wanted it to look like spencerandbrendon released new perspective because of jealousy or competition. argh!

All of the articles by Montgomery have been like that. He's not a very good journalist in my opinion. He needs to learn how to spell, and learn how to be objective.

JMont fails so freaking hard it's really, really sad. I mean seriously, how hard is it to research and actually tell news instead of stating his opinions and choosing sides. He needs to GTFO. >:( I've not been happy with the updates he's been doing on P!atd and TYV's. I'm not even a college graduate yet and I could do a shitload better than him. (One of the things I'm going for is Journalism)

um, yeah, if I were to adequately express my hatred for dear Mr. Montgomery, we'd be here all day. Let's just say I dislike his journalism. He fails at objective and clearly wants to sleep with Ryan just as much as some of Ryan's die hard fangirls. *sigh*

But Spencer makes me ridiculously happy. He's so professional and adorable. I wish there were more interviews with him. I'm impartial to Ian and Dallon, because I don't follow either of their bands, but I'm happy the guys have friends on tour with them. It must be weird to be performing with someone other than Jon and Ryan, and I think playing with friends (rather than some random) would be a nice transition. Just saying.

Let's see, giving fans songs to comfort us (3 little birds), recording new music, doing promotional/Northern Downpour events, filming a video, etc. does not in anyway equal idleness....
